BILL PACELLI,   VICE PRESIDENT

Bill Pacelli

Bill Pacelli has over 35 years of diversified aviation experience. He has been directly engaged or consulted in all aspects of strategic planning and management at large and small airlines in the U.S. and overseas.

A member of Seabury APG since 2005, Mr. Pacelli has led a number of consulting assignments for mid- and small-sized carriers. Examples of his work at Seabury APG include developing and refining revenue management strategies, systems, practices and policies at US and international airlines. Other assignments include creating viable strategies for a for a well-funded startup airline that required: 1) assisting the charter department with fleet scheduling for real estate and gaming clients; 2) advising and coordinating the airline’s infrastructure and IT requirements; and 3) managing the introduction of the carrier’s system flight schedules. For a medium-sized international airline he led the complete over-haul of the carrier’s fare restrictions.

Prior to joining Seabury APG, Mr. Pacelli was Director of Revenue Management at City Bird Airlines. His responsibilities included oversight of strategic pricing, fare administration, revenue and capacity management and distribution systems. His duties there also included managing the selection and installation of the carrier’s revenue management system and co-managing the implementation of the carrier’s distribution through major GDSs.

Before joining City Bird, Mr. Pacelli was Executive Vice President of reArm, an aviation-related software firm focused on the outsourcing of revenue management. During the firm’s successful execution phase, Mr. Pacelli oversaw product development, marketing, sales, pricing, administration and client relations. He also directed the creation and implementation of numerous product enhancements for the firm's standard revenue management system.

Mr. Pacelli also spent two years as an executive at East-West Airlines in Australia. While there, he restructured the airline's planning activities into a new corporate unit that reported directly to the carrier’s General Manager. He also oversaw all aircraft scheduling activities and the restructuring of the airline’s fare structure, as well as all revenue management policies for the carrier.

Mr. Pacelli launched his career with two stalwarts in the U.S. airline industry—Eastern and Delta. For Eastern, he led major planning activities at that carrier, and remained there for nine years. His duties included evaluating and implementing international mergers and route acquisitions. Immediately following U.S. deregulation, Mr. Pacelli led Eastern’s scheduling and pricing initiatives in its effort to stave off the mass influx of new low-fare U.S. capacity. With Delta, where he also stayed for nine years, Mr. Pacelli was a member of both the economic analyses team (route selection and fares) and the scheduling/planning department.

Mr. Pacelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boston College.
