Jerry Frissora has recently joined SAPG as a consultant after 33 years with US Airways. Since joining SAPG, Jerry has worked on improving connectivity and schedule consistency for a large Middle East carrier, rescheduling the largest hub of a large European carrier to a directional as opposed to omni structure, optimizing the schedule coverage and reach of a large U.S. carrier and quantifying the operational benefits of a reschedule to a large U.S. carrier.
Prior to joining SAPG, Mr. Frissora’s career included positions in the reservations, crew scheduling, operations and planning departments of US Airways. Mr. Frissora’s most recent positions, Director Schedule Planning and his position over the past 12 years of Director Current Schedules involved every facet of the airline’s change from a high cost carrier to a competitive entity.
In his capacity of Director Schedule planning Mr Frissora was responsible for the development of US Airways schedule plans. This included the plans that were developed during the mergers of US Airways and Pacific Southwest Airlines, and US Airways and Piedmont Airlines. He also was involved in the development of the Charlotte, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Hub Plans.
In his capacity as Director Current Schedules, Jerry was responsible for the coordination, finalization and distribution of both US Airways and US Airways Express Schedules. The coordination process included the following departments: Crew Scheduling, Customer/Ground Services, Maintenance, Operation Control Center, Facilities, Sales, Charter, Slot and various distribution channels. He was also responsible for the development and coordination of US Airways Weekend and Holiday Schedule.
