LTU Lufttransport-Unternehmen GmbH is a German airline, headquartered in Dusseldorf. Established in 1955, the airline is now owned by Air Berlin. The takeover created the fourth largest airline group in Europe, in terms of traffic. LTU still operates under its original name for short haul, but as Air Berlin for long haul flights.
Operating a fleet of 26 aircraft, comprising of Airbus A320s, A321s, and A330 aircraft, LTU serves 75 destinations. LTU offers flights to popular holiday destinations such as the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean and North Africa. Following the Air Berlin takeover, only 7 of the LTU aircraft will remain in the LTU colours.
APG has a Technical and Portfolio Management Agreement with the Lessor of an A330-300 on lease to LTU. APG was engaged by various Lessors to perform pre-purchase inspections on aircraft on lease to LTU.
