DVB Bank AG, based in Frankfurt/Main, is an international advisory bank and finance house that specializes in the global transport market. DVB offers integrated financing solutions and advisory services in respect of Shipping, Aviation, and Land Transport. Together with other DVB managed funds in the area of shipping, rail and intermodal transport, the Deucalion aviation funds are part of DVB Investment Management, a core business unit of DVB, which was established at the beginning of 2002. The Deucalion funds invest equity in aircraft assets, airlines and aviation related interests. Deucalion is structured as an investment company where a team of investment managers, based in London, analyse investment opportunities in the aviation industry and monitor investments made on behalf of Deucalion. During 2007, the Deucalion Funds acquired a total of 22 aircraft with a combined market value of $1,880 million and sold 4 aircraft.

APG is the Lease manager for various aircraft of the Deucalion portfolio. Beside the technical support APG is responsible for invoicing of rentals and reserves and the relevant rental and reserve bank account management. APG also provides pre-purchase maintenance exposure analysis and technical support for dedicated delivery or redeliveries. APG managed the re-delivery of an Airbus A340-300 from Air Madrid to the new Owner next to the delivery of two B747-400’s sold by Deucalion to Oasis Hong Kong Airlines. During 2006 APG managed the pre-purchase inspections and maintenance exposure analysis for Deucalion when they received an Airbus A330-223, a Boeing B737-800 and an Airbus A320-200.
