China Airlines is the flag carrier of the Republic of China. Owned by the China Aviation Development Foundation the airline flies to destinations in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. The airline is based in Taiwan but is headquartered in Taipei. Flights from Taipei to Hong Kong are China Airlines most profitable, generating 13.3% of its 3.7 billion USD revenue in 2006. Interestingly, China Airlines does not operate any scheduled flights to mainland China.

China Airlines has a fleet of 68 aircraft, comprising of Airbus A330s, A340s, Boeing 737s and 747s. China Airlines has also placed orders for the Airbus A350. This is due into service in 2015.

During the previous years, APG performed Pre-Purchase Inspections on various B737-800 aircraft owned by China Airlines. APG managed the Delivery Acceptance of five A300-600 aircraft owned by China Airlines and sold to Avion. During March 2008 APG performed a Pre-Purchase inspection on two B737-800’s on behalf of a potential buyer.
