Principal
Max Reilly is a Principal with SeaburyAPG, with responsibility for advising airline and airport clients on strategic and network issues in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr. Reilly most recently worked as Regional Director Network Planning at Star Alliance, based in Frankfurt. In that role, he was responsible for managing the Network Advisory Group and the Schedule Management Group (each consisting of representatives from all 18 Star Alliance airlines). He was also responsible for leading a Star Alliance hub project in Bangkok, undertaking route planning projects for several Star Alliance airlines and analyzing the value of potential new member airlines to the Alliance.
Prior to joining Star Alliance, Mr. Reilly held positions as Manager Network Planning at Air New Zealand and as Senior Consultant at Network Economic Consulting Group. While at Air New Zealand Mr. Reilly was responsible for designing the International schedule. He was also responsible for the financial analysis of several projects, such as the Air New Zealand and Qantas merger, and he also participated in merger negotiations between the two airlines. Mr. Reilly's projects at Network Economic Consulting Group included seeking approval by the Australian Government for the Qantas and British Airways joint service agreement and the economic impact to Australia and New Zealand of a proposed merger between Qantas and Air New Zealand.
Mr. Reilly has also held positions in Market Research for ACNielsen and in Finance at Diageo and DB Breweries.
Mr. Reilly holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Auckland and an MBA with distinction from the University of Oxford.
