Joel Antolini
Senior Vice President
Joel Antolini is Senior Vice President of Seabury APG and is Head of the firm's Airport Advisory practice. He advises large-, medium- and small-sized airports on air service development issues, including but not limited to the following:
- Creating strategies and tactics for attaining new air service
- Forecasting traffic, revenue and profitability of proposed routes in a manner similar to technically sophisticated airlines--using QSI-based models, considering traffic stimulation, leakage, etc.
- Establishing and working with well-organized community coalitions aimed at improving air service
- Quantifying traffic and revenue leakage to and from a community to nearby competition
- Communicating closely with target airlines on behalf of client airports and communities
- Developing and implementing marketing campaigns focused on supporting new air service
Today, Mr. Antolini leads an airport practice that includes several domestic and international airports--including names like Philadelphia (PHL), Las Vegas (LAS), Orlando (MCO), Auckland (AKL) and Vienna (VIE). All told, Seabury APG’s efforts over the last four years have helped lead to nearly three dozen new routes for its airport clients. Additionally, the vast majority of Seabury APG airport work is from repeat customers, clearly indicating a high-degree of customer satisfaction for the firm's airport advisory services.
Prior to joining Seabury APG, Mr. Antolini directed US Airways Route Strategy group, where he developed the initial phase of the carrier's major Caribbean expansion, rationalized the carrier's low-fare subsidiary, MetroJet, and optimized the airline's Washington-National/Washington-Dulles/Baltimore strategy. Mr. Antolini's final position at US Airways was Director of Marketing Planning, where he focused on maximizing passenger revenue through strategic marketing and advertising campaigns. Major endeavors included expanding the carrier's e-marketing effort, developing several profitable marketing partnerships aimed at optimizing retail ticket revenues and implementing numerous direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns.
Mr. Antolini holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and a B.A. in Philosophy from Hamilton College.
