Jeff MacKinney
Executive Director
Jeff MacKinney joined Seabury APG in August 2008 as Executive Director. He is an experienced senior executive with a successful track record of delivering profitable growth and substantial value creation during his nearly 30-year career in the airline industry. His assignments since joining Seabury have included providing on-site oversight of the network planning and revenue management areas for a U.S. airline and leading a successful network optimization project for a large international airline.
Prior to Seabury, Mr. MacKinney served as President and member of the board of World Air Holdings, the parent company of World Airways and North American Airlines, where he led a transformational growth plan that produced record profits and culminated in the sale of the company in 2007 at a value more than five times the market cap just four years earlier. As President, he was responsible for worldwide operations of both airline subsidiaries as well as corporate-wide marketing and strategic planning; encompassing oversight of over 2,000 team members and direct P&L responsibility for an entity with nearly $1 billion in consolidated revenue. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of World Airways, and joined the company in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Planning & Corporate Development, after serving as president of his own aviation consulting firm.
Prior to forming his own company in 2002, Mr. MacKinney was President and CEO of TransMeridian Airlines, an Atlanta-based charter airline. He joined TransMeridian in 1999 from AirTran Airways, where he held the position of Senior Vice President-Marketing & Planning, and led the network restructuring that successfully returned the airline to sustained profitability.
Before joining AirTran in 1997, he served as Senior Vice President-Planning & Business Development for a regional airline holding company. Mr. MacKinney held several leadership positions during nine years with American Airlines, most recently as Managing Vice President of AMR Consulting Group. Prior to American, he served as Vice President-Marketing and Planning for a regional airline after beginning his career with Trans World Airlines.
Mr. MacKinney is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Industrial Management and received an MBA from the University of Dallas. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the National Air Carrier Association and also served on the Military Airlift Committee of the National Defense Transportation Association.
